Ghost Cavallin Puro
|
Puro in Italian means ‘Pure’ - our shortest flap, double layered in an attractive and comfortable wave design. No thigh or knee blocks usually. Thus the saddle is open and free. The riders movement and position is neither blocked nor manipulated by the saddle, your position comes from your riding skills and your balance and coordination with your horse. This is the genesis of the GHOST concept, -the saddle that is not there- the rider moving as one with the horse.
The design and features of the Puro are pure and simple. A super soft seat with a narrow twist, eliminating over-stretch at the pelvis, particularly important for female riders. The design pays attention to the different riding styles, incorporating a Velcro pad stirrup attachment that adapts to the rider’s preferred leg position.
The design and features of the Ghost Cavallin range will delight lovers of treeless saddles. Adjustable stirrup straps attach to a velcro pad that can be moved backwards or forwards under the saddle seat in order for the rider to find the most comfortable position for their riding style.
The Girthing attachment is fixed - the Cavallin Two Strap rigging expands the area of stabilisation with two synthetic straps attached at the base fed through included girth strap patch. The patch can slide up and down and forwards and backwards on your horses flanks, to find a good girth placement, and a wider attachment zone. This results in a deeper stabilisation of the Base and Closer Contact feeling between the saddle and your horses back. Less float and suspension in the saddle base (compared to Ghost Base + Girthing) is traded for a more stable base, with more freedom for the rider in the seat. Thus riders who want a minimal and stable saddle, but freedom of movement for their riding have an option just for them.
All Cavallin Ghost saddles have a narrow twist that is extremely comfortable for the rider and gives more of a 'treed' feel, although with a much softer seat! A narrow twist allows the hips to drop down in a great position, and relieving hip, back and knee pain. Extensive testing of the saddles has so far proven them to be very laterally stable, often a problem with treeless.
Thick, adjustable panels lift the saddle away from the horse’s spine and withers, eradicating pressure points. The horse, free from restriction or discomfort, moves with elasticity and improved impulsion. And for further spinal protection during heavy stirrup use, or for riders using the two-point seat.

Way back in the year 1990, Camillo Cavallin acquired his name as one of the original designers of the modern-day treeless saddles, including the Torsion saddles. From the start, Camillo made it his mission to turn an ancient principal into contemporary saddles that put the comfort and welfare of horse and rider first. Over the years, his continuous research and development of the highly acclaimed GHOST saddles earned him a remarkable reputation. Still the leading light at GHOST, he has now dedicated his name to his personal twenty-first century brand of treeless saddles; the CAVALLIN range.
