A completely treeless saddle offers the unique property of being able to adapt to the anatomy of horse and rider. A“close contact”, and almost invisible communication can be built up, where the horse and rider become one in movement and being together.
An EDIX® treeless saddle offers your horse optimum pressure distribution using the special layers of flexible materials:
EDIX® MPDS, (multiple pressure distribution system). These soft, flexible layers adapt to the anatomy of the horse, as well as the rider’s posture.
Made from high quality nubuck leathers (or vegan leather for the Vika) the Edix saddles offer a close contact, comfortable ride. They take solid pommel inserts, which zip into the front pocket, and are available in many sizes to find the right fit for your horse. EDIX SOFT TREE SADDLES
These EDIX saddles are called a soft-tree saddle because the saddle is much more structured compared to many other treeless saddles, yet they are still technically a treeless saddle due the lack of a solid tree. The EDIX soft tree saddles are built of different flexible soft shock absorbing layers and synthetic wool filled panels, which fully adapt to the horse’s anatomy and riders’ posture.
Due to this construction they offer the rider a narrower and more balanced seat and still feature superb flexibility and spinal clearance for movement of the horse. The front gussets have a stabilizing built-in strap and are stitched for an extremely stable saddle position.
By the lack of a solid tree the flexible materials allow the saddle to fully adapt to the horse’s anatomy.
With the exchangeable gullet plate system and the refillable panels the Emir saddle is easily adaptable as your horse changes shape. When combined with an EDIX treeless 8-pocket saddle pad with inlays you can further tailor the fit to the individual horse.
The EDIX® Y-girthing system, with a base of two front girth straps and a third Y-girth strap, achieves greater strength, durability and improves the distribution of pull from the front and back of the saddle to increase comfort and saddle stability. Distinctive from many other dressage saddles the stirrup bar connection of the EDIX® soft tree saddles is positioned more centrally of the saddle seat. This is to support correct leg position and helps to reduce pressure on the knees.

The Tiamo is made from very supple nubuck, and is the softest most flexible saddle out of the whole range.
The Tequiro is made from nubuck leather and is one of the most popular Edix sellers!
They both are equipped with a well-respected type of girth strapping. The triangular connection allows the girth force to interact across a larger area of the saddle, as the connections are fastened at the front and the back of the saddle, as opposed to in the middle. Furthermore, the position of the girth itself can be adjusted forward or backward. As such, only the weight resulting from the interaction of the rider will be at the centre.

Changeable Pommel model Fixed Sized Wooden Pommel
A completely treeless saddle in which all aspects of a western saddle can be found. The saddles are both made of a super strong quality Buffalo leather, with a beautiful suède seat. These western saddles with their typical decorations, beautifully decorated leather and solid seat meet all the demands of the western or leisure rider. A treeless saddle pad is required, and we recommend the beautiful EDIX merino western pads.
Equis -
The pommel is interchangeable and therefore adaptable for a high or low withers. The EDIX® Equis western saddle has the familiar "round skirt" cut-out and is therefore also ideal for horses with a relatively short back. The leather and construction of this saddle means that the saddle is also very suitable for the heavier rider.
Santos -
In contrast to all other EDIX® models, the wooden pommel of the EDIX® Santos is not interchangeable. A pommel size Medium or QH, is installed as standard - Full QH and Semi QH also available. The wooden pommel and cantle both connect the left and right half of the saddle, together they provide stability to the saddle and comfort for the position of the rider.
Despite the typical Western cut-out “square skirt”, the EDIX® Santos does have a long weight bearing surface front to back when compared to a traditional western saddle, which means this saddle is suitable for most horses. The leather and structure of this Western saddle ensure that it is also very suitable for slightly heavier riders.

The EDIX Oakley & Django are a fully treeless Western saddle made by hand of original Argentina cowhide leather with beautiful tooling (Oakley) and a refined classical appearance. Offering comfort for the rider as well as for the horse for long trail rides as well as for many other disciplines of Western riding. The twist (waist) of the seat offers a narrow, comfortable deep and secure seat. The seat is foam padded and finished with a brushed cow leather (suede). The gullet of the saddle can be adjusted by changing the exchangeable pommel via a screw system.
The saddles are fitted with Edix circle-girthing system, which allows the girth tension to interact across the length of the saddle as the connections are fastened at the front and the rear of the saddle, as opposed to the middle or front of traditional Western saddles. Furthermore, the position of the girth itself can be adjusted forward or backward to suit your horse. As such, only the weight resulting from the interaction of the rider will be at the centre point of the saddle. They also have a rear cinch.
