Which Saddle to Choose?
We offer two brands of treeless saddles, Ghost Saddles & Edix Saddles.
Ghost Saddles - hand crafted in Italy, these are more like a flexi tree saddle. They have a self adjusting pommel (so you dont have to fiddle with correct sizing for your horse) base panels that can be moved via strong velcro to create the right channel width for your horses, a choice of stirrup positions, adjustable girthing and an excellent twist for the rider - more like a (super comfy) treed saddle. You can also swap the seats, so can easily change between models.
Edix Saddles - from the Netherlands, these saddles are similar to the barefoot treeless, in that they have a range of solid pommel inserts, that you fit to the horses shoulder to get the right match (they then slide into the front pocket) Used with their respective treeless pads to provide optimal spinal clearance. The underside panels are fixed, but you can adjust/shim for different backs via their treeless pads. These saddles soften and shape in nicely and offer a close contact saddle.
Note - Edix now offer their soft tree saddles - these look very like a traditional English saddle, have thick wool flocked panels, and offer an excellent twist for the rider. They take a changeable gullet plate system, similar to the wintec gullet plates.
