EDIX COURVILLE

Picture

An EDIX® treeless saddle offers your horse optimum pressure distribution using the special layers of flexible materials:
EDIX® MPDS, (multiple pressure distribution system). These soft, flexible layers adapt to the anatomy of the horse, as well as the rider’s posture. A complete description of the MPDS is included further down.

COURVILLE

$1,500 saddle package

Comes with: Saddle Pad, Fenders and oxbows OR leathers and stirrups, Pommel

A beautiful treeless all-round saddle that is suitable for long rides out, as well as small jumps or dressage.

Consisting of a 2-part superstructure of high quality nubuck leather and a substructure of a contoured saddle pad, including 3 Mesh inlays.

The reinforced leather fenders and leather-covered stirrups complete the EDIX® Courville. The Courville saddles have been the best-selling saddle in the F.R.A.® treeless collection for years.

The Courville saddle is available in the colors brown and black and in sizes small, medium and large.

An EDIX® treeless saddle optimally reacts to the movements of the horse. Partly due to this, the rider learns to adapt to the horse’s movements and, as such, develops an independent position. As a result, the movements of the horse and rider become one, and from there, excellent communication is created. Because the horse is moving much more freely, it has the possibility to develop optimally, which is often shown by an increase in muscle mass. Due to the above and after the habituation period, both horse and rider, show in all aspect of horse riding more relaxation and more fluid movement.

Performance:
  • special structure, the EDIX® MPDS (multiple pressure distribution system)
  • superstructure of a high quality cowhide leather, using a combination of nubuck and soft leather.
  • anatomically shaped pad.  Pad has a nylon reinforcement which helps prevent wear from the Riders legs.
  • pommel insert - which can be changed according to horse shape. Saddle comes standard with one pommel insert.
  • high or low cantle of your choice
  • D rings for attaching a breastplate and / or saddle bag

The cantle can be adjusted, using Velcro, to perfectly fit the rider’s seat, there is also the choice of a higher or lower cantle. The pommel is interchangeable and therefore adaptable for a high or low withers. The pommel is made of fiberglass and the cantle of a soft high density foam. Both connect the left and right half of the saddle and together offer stability to the saddle and comfort for the rider.
  • The complete EDIX® Courville treeless saddle set comes with a contoured saddle pad, including 3 mesh inserts.
  • These pads offers a free spinal clearance and have pockets that can be closed with velcro in which several types of inlays can be inserted.
  • The Courville saddle can be combined with the EDIX® saddlebags and breastplate.
  • The FRA® supergirth is optional and its 100% elasticity ensures a rock-solid fixation.

EDIX® saddles advises you to buy the proposed treeless saddles complete with substructure (special treeless pad). This to achieve optimal pressure distribution. You’ll find more information in the extensive EDIX® documentation.

Inlays are subject to wear and tear depending on the intensity of use and need to be checked from time to time for the residual force. These sets of inlays are available separately.

The EDIX® Courville saddles are available in the colors brown and black and in sizes small, medium and large.

The EDIX design is made up of an upper and lower structure:
  • The superstructure of the saddle: the seat (the saddle seat) - a leather seat with the first material that distributes pressure: a high density foam of a dense cell structure and a rubber plate of4mm. The underside of the leather seat is finished with synthetic wool.
  • The substructure of the saddle itself, the part on which the saddle seat is located with important components for further pressure distribution. In this part we find separate anatomically shaped and pressure distributing layers, left and right. This separation is the first impetus for the eventual formation of a free spine.

    From the bottom to the top:
    1. Synthetic wool, not separated (fleece);
    2. Separated 16mm thick foam (HD foam) of high density , in some models an additional layer of 6mm felt.
    3. Separated 16mm thick shock-absorbing neoprene;
    4. A nylon strip that connects the girth of the left and right;
    5. A pressure distributing rubber sheet (polymer layer) of 4mm thick
    6. The final finish
    7. The pressure distributing suspension for the fenders/stirrups

This saddle pad of the treeless combination maximizes the final pressure distribution. Here too, we find distributing layers from bottom to top:
  1. The separated under finishing in the seat area made of synthetic or real Merino fur
  2. Quilted cotton fabric , where in the different materials is chosen for foam or felt, with left and right separated, with velcro to open, slide-in pockets.
  3. Pressure distributing material; where for the different courses you can choose for Neoprene, felt and / or the unique 3 Mesh

The EDIX® treeless saddle combinations have high-quality components which together ensure optimization in the pressure distributing properties of the EDIX® saddles.
